I built a business to be free. Then I gave myself a job I hated.
I’m a maker. I build Tugan mostly on my own. In my spare time, I wire my sailboat’s electronics. No boss. No investors deciding what I’m building for. A laptop that works from a mooring.
But you can love making something and hate what it takes to get it seen. For me, that’s marketing.
You look up and realize you haven’t posted in three days. So you stop building. Ask Claude or ChatGPT for a post. It sounds like everyone else. Tweak a few words so it sounds a little more like you. Post it anyway. 300 views. No customers. Delete it. Do it all again tomorrow.
You’re your own boss, but somehow you’re still reporting for duty.
I know that loop. I started out as a developer. In 2018, I went to work for some of the best marketers and copywriters in France. I had to become a marketer too. Not by choice. What I love is building things that are worth something.
So in 2021, I started automating it. Tugan began as Copy Boss, more than a year before ChatGPT existed. More than 70,000 people have used it since. But writing the posts only solved half the problem. Publishing was still on us.
If your marketing stops the moment you close your laptop, you’re still tied to it.
I’m rebuilding Tugan into the crew I wish I’d had: AI agents that create and publish your marketing across your channels, every day. Not more posts nobody cares about.
You keep building, or close the laptop and go sailing. Your crew keeps showing up.
Hand them the part you hate. Keep the part you love.
